Screen Diagnosis

Hi folks.

I have an X30 with a screen problem. I can see a vertical 1/4" strip of the desktop at the left of the screen, but otherwise it is all a series of vertical lines. The Backlight is fine (dims & brightens etc.).

I hooked it up to an external monitor via VGA - looks 100% great.

How would you proceed?

Replace the LCD.

I figured..... just thought there may have been a simpler (cheaper) solution.
Is eBay the best stop for an lcd?

I recently bought an LCD from eBay for an HP 2000 DV that was packed very well. Worked perfectly.
