IBM ThinkPad X32 Help

#1 Post by davida06 » Thu Feb 19, 2009 3:47 pm

Hi guys,

I dont have too much of knowledge so exuse me. :D I recently brought a new HDD for my Thinkpad X32. My orginal HDD had just failed totally. :( . Ive slapped in the new HDD, and got Windows XP Pro installed again. Works fine.

The problem: All the IBM factory drivers/software related stuff that was on there has gone.
I cannot see the Wireless card icon and in 'Network connections' theres just the 1394 Net Adapter. The Laptop cannot hibernate when closed the screen or when try to Manually. There is NO Sound, I tried going into Volume control and says there is no mixer device availible. Ive gone into 'Device manager' and there are a number devices that have no drivers installed they all have a '?' mark deside them.

Does anyone know what is causing this and the solution?

Thanks

David

David,

How did you reinstall WinXP? It sounds like you didn't use the recovery discs so there are no drivers loaded. Drivers can be found at:
