wireless driver needed for "new" x31 2884-JGU

#1 Post by ymemuser » Wed Mar 04, 2009 10:36 pm

I switched HD from my T40 with XP PRO to my x31 (2884-JGU) which I got w/out OS from e-bay. Everything works just fine except wireless. I got yellow mark in Device Manager for Ethernet Controler. Would somebody help me to get apprpriate drivers for wireless? Thanks.

Here's your wireless driver:

After downloading it, you must go into C>Drivers>Win>Wlanath and run the setup file from there.

Hope this helps.

But the yellow mark in the Ethernet Controller might also indicate the driver for your wired network device is wrong ... are you sure it's the wireless device?

Some Atheros wireless chipsets report themselves as an Ethernet controller. The IBM Thinkpad 802.11a/b/g Wireless Mini-PCI II cards I have do that.
