X41 Changing BIOS settings.

#1 Post by Reo51St » Mon Jun 08, 2009 12:14 pm

When I go into the bios to make changes it said "All items on this menu cannot be modified in user mode."

When the lock icon comes up is there a "User Password and Supervisor Password" that can be entered at that time???

Sorry if this is a dumb question but this is the first time dealing with X41's.

Thanks for any help.

I assume you bought the X41 used? If so it may have come out of a corporate environment
in which case the IT guy put a BIOS password on the machine so certain, if not all entries,
couldn't be changed, except by him. You'll need that password in order to continue.
I got lucky once and my Windows password opened the BIOS! I was real lucky that time I guess.
Pushing the space bar might also work if there really isn't a password.
