So, before I installed it, I DL'd the updated drivers (turns out they are broadcom drivers).
My X41 did not come with an internal bluetooth module, yet there is still a bluetooth icon in the control panel (when I clicked on it, it would just notify me that there was no bluetooth adapter installed).
So I tried to uninstall it in the device list but there is no actual device listed (it is just the ibm stack I guess?).
OK, so I launch the broadcom bluetooth installer, it says to plug in the bluetooth adapter, and then sits there for about a minute while windows attempts to automatically install. It correctly ID's the adapter as a rocketfish adapter but then a split second later it fails inexplicably and says that the device may not have installed properly and isnt working.
Then the broadcom installer says that It cant install the device and to re-start and try installing it again.
Im at my witts end with this thing. Is there anyone out there that can help me?!?!?!?!
EDIT:
I uninstall the rocketfish adapter in the device list before restarting and it is doing the same thing repeatedly.
please halps!
The installer keeps saying it cant properly read the information off the device, and to re-start my computer and try again. This **** problem is damaging my calm!!!
