X41 continuously beeping in triplets after random lockup

#1 Post by astroidea » Fri Aug 28, 2009 10:13 am

So I was just sitting here enjoying my X41 Tablet like I normally do, and it suddenly locks up out of the blue. It's probably the first time it's ever locked up given what a stable system this is.
I reboot, and everything works fine, but once I get into windows, I get this continous beeping in triplets. If I have my headphones plugged in, the beeping goes to the headphones. I can mute the beeping from muting the audio.

The computer seems to work fine now aside from the annoying beeping. It'd be nice to have audio without the beeps.

Anyone have an idea what happened and how to fix?

Can you re-seat the DRAM module and see if the beeping stops?
