X41 2010 error; did the right upgrade?

hallo
i had to chenge my died hd in X41. i saw many difficult to find a capable hd so i decideed to use a zif hd with adapter .
i bought on ebay this adapter http://cgi.ebay.it/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie ... 1594wt_939 and this hd http://cgi.ebay.it/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie ... 1097wt_939
i had some difficult to insert the flat cable....at lleast i connected it! but i don't know if i connected on the right side
i however put in X41 and i had the 2010 hd error! pressing esc key all seems work fine(even if i have not yet install the o.s.)
so my question is the hd was listed as one that works in X41 and as compatible
so why i have the 2010 hd error?
could be for reason why i insert the flat cable of adapter in the wrong side?
who knows something about these problems?

The only drives that would not cause 2010 error are the original Hitachi drives and the later Samsung SSD.

That Toshiba drive will cause a 2010 error but otherwise should work without ill effect.

If you press F12 at boot time and can see the HDD module number listed, your drive is connected correctly.
