X series for web browsing
I want to get a laptop that is very portable, something I can take to Starbucks, Borders etc. while I wait for my wife at the mall. I have a 15" T42 but it's definitely too big for this purpose, I did see the Dell 700m at a Dell Kiosk and it is actually pretty nice but I'm thinking a X40 might be nicer. How is the display on the X40, is it bright and sharp? This would be very important to me. What do you think of it for my intended purpose, or would a 14" T42 be better?

hey...
If you are interesting in surfing the web and doing simple office applications then the X40 will do a great job. If you are concenred about speeed then consider an X31, it can flex some computing mucle if required and it's more portable when compared to a T series.
I don't think I need to tell you not to buy a dell....
