**FOUND** X41 tablet restore disks - no longer available

My boyfriend and I are in mid-drive-replacement on our X41 tablet, and the disks we have for restoring the system on our X41 are also bad. Is there anyone who might consider allowing us to borrow or buy a set? We bought our X41 tablet used and he had tried to get disks but they are no longer sold or supplied.

You can use a Windows XP Pro OEM SP2 disc if you also have the Tablet Supplement disc. Windows will recognize the tablet cd-key and install the Tablet Edition. Then download software update or install the individual drivers.

You should be able to use an SP3 disc... but when I tried mine it didn't ask for the tablet disc and thus didn't install the extra software. But that might be because I made it with nLite and some funky settings.

Many many thanks to Harryc - we got our new set of discs in a beautiful package and I'm writing from our newly restored and happy X41! The new solid state hard drive that necessitated having the restore disks is working great, too! Hoo-ray!
