X22 Displays Blank Screen
When I turn my X22 on, the display is blank. The backlight is on, but the display is black.
I have replaced the LCD cable. Things seemed OK for a little while, but the same symptom has come back...
Switching to an external display looks fine. It's just the internal.
Words of wisdom? I don't know what it is with me and LCDs lately...

Re: X22 Displays Blank Screen
So, your system was working fine and then the display went black (with the backlight still shining through along the edges). Presumably, it remained that way until you put in another LCD cable, at which time the display came back to life. It continued to operate fine until recently, when the same problem appeared.
I would say "re-seat the cable". To me it would be highly unlikely that the identical problem occurred with the replacement cable; which may be another way of saying that your original cable was/is still okay. If there was/is an intermittent problem with either the LCD panel or the motherboard, disturbing the cable at either end may cause your system to work again. If you have a spare lid/panel, then I would try that next.

Thanks Ray; I was hoping I would hear from you.
I should have mentioned that I did try reseating the new cable. I'm thinking it's the motherboard myself - any fuses I should be testing?
Unfortunately I don't have a spare LCD...

When the LCD is black, it is actually on. It will be white if the LCD is off but the backlight is on.

Re: X22 Displays Blank Screen
Exactly. When I had the LCD assembly open I tried turning the machine on with the cable disconnected, and I observed the white color as you described, sj...
Plugged in it is black, but definitely on.
