Reflashing a bios with the same version of flash

#1 Post by duparc » Wed Jan 13, 2010 10:00 am

the bios of a X31 which got perverted (lost its Centrino picture)
was flashed with the last flashing program available.
When attempting to flash it again, this flashing program answers that all is correct
that there is no use to flash again, and refuses to flash again.
How to enforce flashing a bios again with the same flash program ?
Mil mercis !

Could it be that you changed or disabled your intel wifi card?

The easiest way would be a downgrade to 3.01 (1QET96WW) followed by an upgrade to your current version. You could also use the phoenix winphlash tool under windows or the phlash16 DOS utility to flash it directly, but the downgrade method should also work fine with the original updater.

Good luck!
