No, that item is for desktop.

You need something like this:

In any case, no matter what brand you buy, run memtest86 a few loops before using the computer for any significant tasks.

My understanding is that the X41 Chipset has a 2GB Limit, so even if the OS will recognize 2.5 or 2.25 GB, the chipset will be able to address 2GB only.

Still if the price difference from 1GB to 2GB is not big I would also go for a 2GB Stick...

My 0.02 cents

Ok so even though it wont recognise the extra .5, it will still work the 2gb? I have 1gb ram currently (512 built in), so obviously if i buy the 2gb thats going to take it to 2.5.

OK thanks, though I noticed that one is 667mhz, I read that some people had issues with 667?

I found one here, seems to fit all the criteria (sodimm, 533mhz, pc4200)

Would that be suitable?

I think so, I did not try it myself, but I've read in a German forum that it was working for other members. How much is the price difference against a 1GB Stick? Here in Switzerland the price difference between 1GB & 2GB was too big for me to justify the extra spending. But I don't know the UK market.
