X22 Won't boot - Beeps 8 times

#1 Post by cLOWN gOD » Tue Mar 01, 2005 12:56 am

I have an X22 that won't boot -just beeps once then two sets of three beeps, then one last beep (all short, and the same pitch).

I've replaced the motherboard and the LCD cable, and it still has the same problem. Has anyone seen this :?:

That beep indicates a memory issue.

That beep code has been around for quite a while on ThinkPad laptops and I've seen thousands of them... I'm sure there is a table floating around out there too though...
