Hard drive has died

#1 Post by runningman » Mon Apr 19, 2010 4:06 pm

Hi folks. My X31's hard drive (Hitachi 40gb) developed the click of death yesterday! I think it may have been as a result of a large power surge we had in my neighbourhood. Eventually it gave up the ghost, along with my external hard drive (Due, I'm guessing, to the same power surge) on which I had placed the cloned disk image:eek:  (. I don't know what the hell to do now as I have lost all the info ....any ideas? All I'm getting is this message: ERROR 0200 FAILURE FIXED DISK 0.

X31 2673 1gb ram

Try attaching this drive in a USB housing to a working computer and see if you can recover the files.
