funny noises during text scrolling

Hi,

I have an interesting problem.

When I am scrolling text using scroll wheel all is ok.

When I click on the right mouse and scrolling using toolbar on the right side, my x40 does funny sqeezing noises.

I've found it is going from USB connector where mouse is plugged in (Genius USB mini traveller)

I tried both USBs on my x40, all do the same. Maybe some interference ? Bad mouse or whole machine (hope not) ?

Is it normal ?

What AC adapter part number are you using? Also what is the level of bios revision on your machine?

It is happening no matter on the AC adapter is plugin or not. It is happening also when x40 is running on the battery only.

BIOS is the still old one from June when I bought it.

This may sound crazy but maybe it's a feature (from an installed theme or not) that can be turned off.

No, it can't be, I have speaker disabled and all sounds are turned off in Win XP.

It is definitely comming from the USB (no matter what left or rigth one) connector, sounds like electrical interference.
