Function keys not working

Hi,

I have an x201 running windows 7. It has drivers so that LAN, wireless, graphics, sound, etc work fine. some of the function keys work (just sleep and brightness), but the function key to switch to an external monitor doesn't work, which is a big pain as I need to use an external monitor.

Please can someone tell me which driver, package or bios update to use to get the function key and alternate monitor to work?

Are you running Lenovo's graphic driver or a driver from another source? Beside that, I beleive all you need is the latest versions of the Lenovo System Interface Driver,
Power Management Driver, and Hotkey Utility

thank you, graphics driver was the issue, generic windows 7 driver didnt allow function
