Extending Battery Life

#1 Post by ChipsAndSolder » Fri Dec 10, 2010 12:28 pm

I have three batteries for my X32; two that are over a two years old and one new one. I only use one battery typically and the other two sit around until I remember to swap them once every few months or so.

What is the best way to keep up the capacity of these batteries while not being used? Should I charge them up fully before putting them on the shelf or let them drain completely? Since I have two in reserve, am I better to rotate through all three or just put two on the shelf until the one I am using can't hold a charge any more?

Thanks,

It is said that when storing the battery not in use, it is best to keep it approximately half-charged.

The easiest way to drive a third monitor is to use a USB-to-VGA adapter.
