Does any model of T61 look like 600E?
Does any model of T61 look like 600E?
well, it might sound silly but yesterday i ran into a thinkpad that looked brand new without a single scratch. it had label T61 in its casing. It was running in windows vista basic. But it looked a bit different than normal vista. When i checked its system settings from my computer it showed that it had core2duo 2.53 GHz processor with 4 gb ram, 512 mb ati graphics etc. I came to home and googled T61 but i couldnt find what i had seen. I googled for about 5-6 hours for T61 but couldnt find out the one i had seen. Fiinally i googled just thinkpad and ran into one image that looked 100% like the one I had seen. but sadly when I checked it, it was thinkpad 600E. there is no mistake in it. So, I was very much confused and wanted to ask if anyone had seen t61 like that. Forgive me if I am talking silly, but i just want to erase my doubts.

No, never.
Maybe you just saw a 4:3 T61, looking somewhat like this:

A "fake" T61 that looks 600E and has a 2.53 GHz processor with 4 gb ram, 512 mb ati graphics???
I have to see it to believe it.
BTW, T61 never had ATI graphics, only nVidia. The only Thinkpad I can think which had 512MB ATI graphics is a T500/W500, and some T60/Z61 series which had 128-256MB ATI graphics, which would sometimes show up as having 512MB due to shared memory.
Interesting machine you had there.
