How To Pause Display?

As many of you know, the Lenovo new design smaller keyboard for consumer class Thinkpads doesn't have the classic "pause" key. I use pause
to inspect Linux boot lines that appear on screen. I figure there is an alternative way to pause.

I've looked over the keyboard and I can see not way to pause. Does anyone know a simple key combination or a Linux key that will let me pause screen?

Most commands have a -p flag or some similar kind that waits for user input before outputting more onto the screen.

This is more of an operating system question, not an X2/X3/X4x series question, though. Even more so since the aforementioned series do have pause keys

What? Please post a photo with a marker showing me the location of the "pause" key on the newer consumer class Lenovo keyboard I mentioned.
Gee, I need glasses real bad. Considering how I can find no Pause key and my Lenovo documentation seems to state two classic keys are been removed from the newer chicklet keyboard and I saw "pause key is missing" in several reviews from Computer Shopper to PC Magazine and CNET, we must be, no we gotta be seriously blind! I apologize if my apparent visual impairment offends you.

Sorry if you feel where I post my query is the most important function of this forum, I will be sure to clear it with you anything I post in future. My very successful career was in part due to my making sure I never irritated the bean counters. To all the paper shifflers, Accountants, & card catalog librarians out there, I humbly apologize.

Meanwhile, if a forgiving and less eagle eyed user would kindly tell me the key combination that allows a user to halt the Linux boot screen echo process...
