X41 tablet BIOS update difficulty

Hi All-

I have a recently purchased X41 tablet running Win XP and BIOS 2.02 (75ET56WW) and embedded controller version 1.01. I am trying to update the BIOS to 2.09 to add Vista support.

I have tried both the Diskette and non-Diskette flash programs as per the Lenovo support site and have followed all their directions and cautions and keep getting:

The diskette in the default drive will not run on this system. Your system is now locked. To restart your system, press Ctrl+Alt+Del.

Can anyone offer any help? I have flashed many BIOSes in the past and am frustrated at the difficulty i'm having with this one.
