X20 memory problem

#1 Post by Przemek » Fri Jul 01, 2011 9:37 am

Hello,

got X20 (2662-11G) with basic system 64 MB memory standard. Bought 1x 256 MB module () but BIOS see only 192 MB (128 MB + 64 MB).

BIOS displays another memory 1x 128 MB (Samsung M464S1724CT2 - L75) ok.

How to solve this problem?

Find a low-density module (recognisable if it has 8 chips on each side, 16 total).

To be clear, that's only when we are talking about a 256MB module.
