Hi all,
I just ordered an x30 Thinkpad from IBM's certified used equipment department. The machine is a 2673-42U. Got a great deal on it -- can't wait for it to arrive.
Here's my question -- the sales rep told me that this is one of the wireless upgradeable models. I've checked the hardware manual, and it looks like there are two Mini PCI cards offered:
1) IBM high rate wireless LAN Mini-PCI adapater with Modem II
2) Cisco Aironet Wireless 802.11b Mini-PCI by IBM
Does anyone know if there's any real difference between these two cards? Any difference in performance, usable range, reliability, etc?
Any information would be much appreciated.
Mini PCI cards for x30 - IBM or Cisco?
