DVI on Port Replicator

I am using an IBM X31 with the Port replicator and when I connected my LCD to the DVI port on the Port Replicator the Monitor did not receive any sgnal. Anyone knows how to make this work?

I am using the latest DNA drivers.

I think I recall reading somewhere that the DVI on the port replicatior will work with only certain A series models.
