I have installed Windows 7 Professional 32 bit on my X31 (standard build apart from 512Mb RAM). When I try to play Spider Solitaire it reports that "hardware acceleration is either disabled or not supported by your video card driver". When it displays the cards they are fuzzy and it's almost impossible to drag them around.
The display settings in Control Panel say that hardware acceleration is working. When I search for a Windows 7 driver in the Lenovo sites nothing is listed. Lenovo do provide other updates although the machine was made by IBM.
Any help with finding a driver or could the problem be something else?
Windows 7 Video drivers for X31

Here's a thread on that with links to drivers and instructions on how to install them.
One thing, you should really put more ram in that machine to run windows 7. 512mb is just not enough.

Re: Windows 7 Video drivers for X31
Even with the right drivers, Spyder Solitaire and a couple of other games (Hearts) just drag on the x31 due to Win7's change in design from WinXP. The trick is to simple copy the executable files from an XP machine and over-write the programs in your Win7 machine. Worked a trick for me, and Hearts and Spyder Solitaire run smoothly now.Jemini wrote:I have installed Windows 7 Professional 32 bit on my X31 (standard build apart from 512Mb RAM).
