X60s IO port 201h

#1 Post by Bondi » Thu Nov 24, 2022 4:30 am

I have a pcmcia gameport card that I'd like to use with my x60s. But looks like the port 201h is occupied all the time (the whole range 200-207 is also busy). I recall reading somwhere that this port is used by some motherboard function. But I cannot figure out which function exactly. Looking in device manager did not help, It's not listed there. Is there a way to find this out and maybe disable it in BIOS? Tried both in windows and DOS.

Run lshw as root in linux. Or else just see if you can disable the USB ports in BIOS and try the card. If that doesn't work continue the process of elimination.
