Simpler Way to Enable Dual IDA...?

Tried ThrottleStop and managed to enable the 9x multiplier on the L7500 (1.6 to 1.8GHz) on one occasion. But the whole process still kind of convoluted and I managed to freeze my system twice or thrice.

Just want to know if there's a simpler way to increase the top speed from 1.6 to 1.8GHz while retaining the automatic down-clocking and everything else...?

Cheers.

Get the Middleton BIOS, it does it for you: http://forum.notebookreview.com/lenovo- ... ost6501443

I'm using Middleton's BIOS, but AFAIK, one still has to use ThrottleStop to make use of the extra multiplier...?

My CPU is still topping up at 1.6GHz under full load, is there something I need to change in the BIOS setting...?

Cheers.

More info here on ThrottleStop:

Personally I have no idea what it does/doesn't, I just knew that this BIOS could activate it.

Thanks. I think I'm aware of what the combination of the modded BIOS and ThrottleStop do. What I'm asking is if there's a simpler way to achieve that.

Like doing it all just in the BIOS...?

Any idea...?

Cheers.

This is an old post but I flashed Middleton BIOS onto X300 and used NHC 2.4.3 to enable 7x multiplier. Works perfectly.

I've done dual ida on my t61p. I can't get it to work on the l7500 processor.
