12v (cigarette lighter) battery charger for X60?
Is there a 12 volt cigarette lighter type charger (power supply) for X60? If so could you please supply a part number / source?

Re: 12v (cigarette lighter) battery charger for X60?
For a more expensive option, you could opt to purchase an entire Lenovo 90W Ultraslim AC/DC Combo Adapter kit, which includes a cigarette lighter connection. Probably not what you are looking for, but that would be the "official" Lenovo cigarett lighter option. I don't think you can purchase it separately.

Re: 12v (cigarette lighter) battery charger for X60?
Some years ago I bought one of those cheap Chinese models , THEY'RE JUNK. The one I bought got so HOT I thought it would cause a fire! (hate to sound harsh but I'm tired of poor quality Chinese products)
Spent the money and bought an IBM ac/dc combo adapter (16v) for the 'T-4x' and 'X-3x' series (p/n 22p9003). Works a treat!
Looking for an IBM/Lenovo model (20v) and it looks like pkiff got just what I'm looking for!
Thanks!

Unbelievable! Not too long ago, these were $50 on Lenovo outlet. For $20 shipped, it's a bargain for sure.
If you're looking for the external battery charger attachment (charges battery without laptop) let me know. Mine's for sale (genuine Lenovo).

Re: 12v (cigarette lighter) battery charger for X60?
Yeah, those are some pretty good prices all right. I think I paid something close to USD $80 (including shipping to Canada) for a "new in box" or "open package" version via eBay when I bought mine.
One significant item to note in the context of looking for a cigarette lighter option is that I think the first version adapter ("slim combo") is different than the subsequent "ultra slim combo" adapter. The later version is slightly smaller and lighter, but more importantly, it is possible to use the cigarette lighter adapter without using the brick in the later, ultra-slim version: you connect up the cigarette lighter adapter piece directly to a dongle that attaches to your laptop. With the original "slim" version, the cigarette lighter attached to your power brick and then you attached the dongle between the power brick and your laptop.
Probably doesn't matter for most people, as most people will end up carrying the brick as well, but I still thought it worth mentioning. The super cheap ($20 version) listed above appears to me to be the original version, not the later version.

Re: 12v (cigarette lighter) battery charger for X60?
Just wanted to give an update for those considering buying one of the Lenovo Ac/Dc adapters/chargers. Ordered the 'older' $19.99 unit from eBay seller. Arrived quickly, looked clean, even came with a case which as I recall was not listed. Nice bonus!
Charger works great. Barely gets warm on Dc. Gets warm on Ac but no where near hot. Overall, very pleased with this unit. Oh, BTW the 12v Dc adapter is aircraft rated (10.5v - 18v DC).

Re: 12v (cigarette lighter) battery charger for X60?
I bought the "Merax Universal Car Power Supply for Laptop" from Meritline for around $23.
I've only used it just a couple of times so far, mostly just to see if it works.
http://www.meritline.com/merax-universa ... 39133.aspx
The sku is 201-190-001 in case the link changes.
I bought this after using an inverter, i.e., DC to AC, then the X60s power brick to convert it back to DC.
This did not make sense to me, efficiency-wise, but the DC to DC transformers were too expensive at the time until I found the Merax.
There are others available, but this one is more universal.
