docking station for X60

Hi all. First off, I'd like to think a very kind gentleman who on here has rescued me with recovery disks for the X60 laptop which was donated to me from a company to use as a diagnostic machine for my charity.
I have to admit, I've not used one this size before so have to get used to it.
I've a few questions basically.
1: what's the maximum ram I can load into this and what ram do I need? the model is a 1707,
2: maximum supported hard drive for this laptop? I need a fair bit of space for software, backups, etc.
Also, if there's any UK based users on here who could help. Because I'm using the X60 as a diagnostic unit for hardware tests, programming, etc to repair macs with as part of the free macs for the blind charity, Does anybody have an unwanted old X6 docking station for the laptop? The reasons I need this particular part are due to the in built speakers, the further interface ports available including serial and parallel for dongles and specialist interfaces and the CD drive for software installs.
As I'm about to restore the system, I've borrowed a slimline USB CD rom drive to do the install.
As the laptop is also to go out on site to recipients who have issues with their macs (emergencies), the laptop can be with me to undertake repairs, etc.
would anyone here be willing to help at all?
with many thanks and a happy new year to all.
