which TYPEs I ought to I looking for?
If you have already posted the answer, please write about your faults known of these models. I want to change my T40p on any of the above mentioned, but at the same resolution (more than 1024x, 768, I would like to have 1400x1050).

Both X60 and X61 tablets were available with SXGA+ (1400x1050) AFFS panels.
Additionally, you can mod a standard X60/61 to accept such a panel, but it's a fairly expensive project.
I own a couple of X61 tablets with SXGA+ screens...PM me if you're serious about obtaining one...

Thank you for your reply.
I'm looking for any good solution instead of my t40p.
How does work the digitizer? Is it any way to use a fingers?
What is best solution in X60s which is not overheting, BGA is unsolderable, all is good and stable?
Must be any type - the best of the x60s's
regards

Not only is putting a SXGA+ LCD into a X60s expensive, it requires a fairly high level of skill. If you're interested in a X60 tablet with the SXGA+ LCD, it does not do touch. All X series CPUs are soldered and cannot be upgrade without replacing the motherboard. If you're looking for a smaller ThinkPad with a high resolution screen, the X200s with the 1440x900 LCD might be worth a look.

thank you for your reply.
I'm looking for any cheap and stable solution. X200 is much expensive.
In my t40p I have problems with usb because one of the chips inside are broken.
I would like to avoid similar problems. Problems with BGA, etc

hello,
thank you for your replies
Please tell me two things - how expensive will be LCD swap in this machine
http://www.dazzit.com/item/en/US/Notebo ... o-17023LU/# ? TYPE 1702-3LU. I would like to get display with resolution as high as possible.
I am asking this way because I have possibility to buy computer with this type.
Please tell me what is the chance of coming across a loosening in BGA or other components in x60's.
What can mean a vertical line on the screen?
Could this be damage other than the LCD?
thank you for your help,
best regards

X6x is basically risk-free in that area. The lines you see are most likely from a failed LCD panel.

Yes, regarding unsoldering. And they are very rigid and strong machines with excellent performance.
