touchscreen works under linux?

Recently (like last night) I acquired a dual branded (Lenovo on the back, IBM on the front) X60 (6366-4DU) and am wondering about the touchscreen.

In a nutshell, it doesn't seem to work. At least with my finger. I'll order a pen if I need to, but if it's a linux thing where the touchscreen doesn't work, I'll skip ordering it.

This machine currently has Ubuntu 10.something on it. I'm planning on loading up Mint Debian.

from the Lenovo site:
ThinkPad X60 Tablet (6366-4DU)
L2400(1.66GHz), 1GB RAM, 80GB 5400rpm HD, 12.1in 1024x768 LCD, Intel 950, Intel 802.11abg wireless, Modem, 1Gb Ethernet, Secure chip, IEEE 1394, Fingerprint reader, 4c Li-Ion batt, WinXP Tablet 2005
doesn't show touchscreen. does this mean it's pen only? or that there is no screen input?

The way I'm reading it, your machine is pen-only.
