help with ultrabase for x61t

I just purchased an ultrabase for my x61t and I can't figure out how to get it to attach to my x61t. I think it might be the wrong one. I purchased it on ebay. How do I tell if it will fit/how to I get it to attach? Sorry I am such a newbie.
