X61 7675-CTO worth it?

#1 Post by pat » Tue Mar 20, 2012 9:02 pm

I have the option to get a 7675-CTO X61 for $150USD, with a 30GB SSD, 3GB RAM, extended battery (great health). I'm basically looking to run Linux on this, and just do basic web browsing on it. I have replacement HDD's if necessary (200GB+).

The current machine I have is just way too beefy (Dell 1st-Gen i5 w/ 4GB RAM, 320GB HD) to carry around and I'm definitely attracted to the lightweight aspect of this.

That's a very good price if the laptop is in decent condition with no major issues.

Happy shopping.

like George said, take a careful look at the physical condition of the machine. If you can take a look while its on to see if the fan is super noisy or if the machine gets unbearably hot (this is subjective though). 150 is a steal with all those perks. if you think everything checks out, go for it!

hope it works well!
