IBM X60 and 1920x1080 resolutions.

#1 Post by pawcio » Thu May 17, 2012 3:34 am

Hi All.

I'm a new on the list so at the beginning I'd like to introduce myself.
I'm Pawel and I'm happy owner of X60 IBM notebook.

But, after reinstalling system from Win XP to Windows7 I have a problem with screen resolution on monitor connected with laptop through dock station.
As far as I remember, when I had windows xp system I had similar problem witch I solved. It's because IBM X60 have blocked 16:9 resolutions (including 1920x1080).
In windows xp I created new resolution 1919x1080 and I worked fine, but I have no idea how to do it in windows7.
Have anyone have any idea how to use 1920x1080 on X60 with windows7 onboard?

Thanks in advance,
Pawel

I don't think X60 has blocked 16:9 resolutions.
