x60 tablet issues

#1 Post by OcaToro » Wed Aug 15, 2012 8:59 am

Hi, I have just bought a 2nd hand x60 tablet but it doesn't have handwriting input on anything, and the tablet buttons along the edge of the screen do not work

on the face of it i appear to have been given a machine with ordinary xp rather than xp tablet edition.

is there any way to sort this out?

i am not adverse to putting win7 or hackintosh or something on it. I've only bought it to use as a kindle and movie player. i don't really need it for anything else at all.

any help gratefully received, thanks

Welcome to the forum.
Install SystemUpdate from here, then run it: http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloa ... MIGR-66956
You can also get the missing drivers from here: http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/researc ... MIGR-67064

thanks for that, it's actually gone back as the dc jack was also really wobbly. i am awaiting a replacement which i am told has been installed with xp tablet this time, and been fully updated. so we shall see how that turns out!
