Replacing X61 bluetooth module, shortcut?

I am replacing the version 2.0 Bluetooth modules in several X61's with Bluetooth 2.1 modules. The module is located in the lid assembly. I have just taken apart the first laptop the hard way, following the Lenovo maintenance manual, which involved a 90% disassembly. Now that I'm looking at the parts, it occurs to me that there might be a shortcut for the remaining two machines.

Has anybody tried removing the LCD bezel without removing the lid assembly from the laptop?

Of course you don't need to remove the whole screen from the machine, the bezel just comes off by removing the three screws in lower part of the bezel. 5minute job.
