x61 motherboard into x60

Got the opportunity to get an x61 mobo FRU 43Y9022. Will this drop into an x60 chassis straight or will there be need for modification? Also where can i get the modified bioses for the x60/x61 that remove the white list?

Thinking of doing this in order to get one of those broadcom hd pcie cards and have the laptop as a blu ray/HD DVD player for my living room, and also to extend the life of this laptop a bit as i think it's got a great form factor and build quality.

Thanks for the quick response and the PM. One last thing are the heatsink and fan the same for the x61 as the x60?

Heatsink fan assembly is mechanically the same, notwithstanding different FRU numbers. The differences in the motherboards are that (1) all x61 boards have two miniPCIe slots, whereas some X60 boards have only one, and (2) the X61 boards do not have the infrared port emitter.

Board dropped in straight away; no problems. The speed increase on the sata is definitely noticeable on my ssd. Thanks again.
