X61 tablet - IDA enabing/disabling?

#1 Post by RV_ABZ » Wed Jan 16, 2013 6:24 am

Hi everyone,

Rather than resurrect old posts, I thought I'd pop the question in a new thread...

Is there a way to DISABLE IDA in the BIOS, whether in original BIOS or in Middleton's hacked BIOS? I need to disable IDA to run Mac OS X at expected FSB speed (800MHz) on a hacked-BIOS'ed X61, otherwise, it runs at slower speed (~720Mhz)... :-(

Thanks,
Hervé

IDA does not mess with FSB, it only adds an additional multiplier.

Correct, but that's not the point... Mac OS does not like IDA + EIST combination, I'm just interested in finding out if IDA can be disabled or not. That's all.
