You can find several recent mentions of both AGPTEK and ATC by plugging those terms into the Search box (link at the top of the page).

You can also use this Google query: agptek OR atc AND battery site:forum.thinkpads.com

Thanks rkawakami,

I did both and I think I'll pass. Just having a hard time swallowing $115-$140 on eBay for a genuine new in the box unit.

Thanks again.

Check the Lenovo Outlet store as well: http://outlet.lenovo.com It's a hit-an-miss source of new or nearly new batteries right from the source.

edit: I should also suggest hanging out on eBay and sniping. I recently got a 0 cycle X6x battery for under $30.

I had bought a battery for my x61t and it worked pretty good. I suspected it would be maybe 10% less of what an original would be, but the price is great. I'd say like five or so hours with my SSD and Win7 instead of maybe six or seven with OEM. I'm sure that offbrand would be fine and I'm guessing its amazon they would let you return it if it was faulty.
