Hi people, my first post here

Recently I bought X60s with Ultrabase in great condition. Everything is in great, working great with Ubuntu.
My question is, how to install fan in Ultrabase, I have god fan, fitting in Ultrabase, but where is connector?
Please, can anybody point me in right direction?

BTW, this is great HW, this ThinkPad :D

If the fan is 5v, you may be able to tap into the USB ports for power.

Ok, tnx for replay. Its clear now there is not connector, but still we have place for additional fan inside Ultrabase. Hmm, let`s see maybe there is a better place for soldering wire and steal some energy, maybe from AC connector?

If it's a fan that runs on DC voltage, you can't connect it to AC power unless you want to blow it up.

Also, check the voltage of your fan. Usually it's either +5v DC or +12v DC.

The X6x power adapter outputs +20v DC. You'll burn up the fan if you connect it directly.

Personally, I don't think there's "a good place" to put a fan inside the Ultrabase X6.

The "optimal place" would have been under the CPU fan, but on the Ultrabase X6 the USB ports are in the way.

Sure, but I was busy last few days, so no progress here. Anyway inside Ultrabase, we have place for additional fan, I will take picture and post it here, place with screw stands, just need a proper voltage to steal :D
