Hi it seems that the motherboard of the x61s with 1.4ghz cpu is dead. I have checked the ebay and there are many motherboards from 1.6ghz models. Just wanted to know if these boards are the same or compatible. Also what about other x60, x60s or x61 boards?

X60/X60s/X60t only support up to 3GB RAM.
X61/X61s/X61t support up to 8GB RAM.
You can only swap the same types, i.e. X60 with X61, X60s with X61s, and X60t with X61t motherboards.
Any X60s/X61s mobo with any CPU will fit in your machine.
