F5521gw on X61/T61/X61t/X61s, need help!!!!

Just got a F5521gw for 30 GBP, really impressed by the internet speed and GPS location speed.

However, no matter on which 965 chipset machine with whatever BIOS, it stuck on the Thinkpad screen for about 1-long-minute. I've also changed BIOS setting for AMT and security chip..... doesn't work

I've tried blocking every possible PIN (apart from USB D+, D-, the PINs for USIM connection and WWAN indicator).... doesn't work

I think it might be the problem with anti theft? cos the same card works perfectly fine on my cousin's T400 with whitelist BIOS

Thinking of disabling anti-theft or other function that might have caused the issue
Could anyone please help me getting a hand on the files in the download section on this page https://techship.se/products/ericsson-f5521gw-201/

Can't help you with it other than I installed HP branded F5521gw into my X60 Tablet and it works fine, just no GPS (only WWAN adapter is found). But speed and stability is superb.

I have same issue. Bought new genuine Lenovo F5521gw and installed it in T601 FrankenPad. The card is working fine (of course I had to block pin 20), even GPS works (unfortunately not that good as in Dell E6500 with Dell Wireless 5550 card which is Dell version of F5521gw) but I have to wait at ThinkPad screen.

Okay here's what I've find out:
1. F5521gw freezes screen for quite long on X61, T61, X61s, X61t, T61p, regardless or FRU version or BIOS version
2. However, there's still good substitutions, F3607gw and H5321gw

F3607gw(used on X100e):
Advantage:
1. much more stable than F3507g
2. Cheap
3. Fn+F5 fully working under windows XP, and will work under windows 7 with some hacking
Disadvantage:
Very hard and tricky to install the drivers

H5321gw(used on X1 Carbon):
Advantage
1. Fast and stable, no driver issues.
2. A little bit faster GPS location

Disadvantage:
Expensive
(I'm not entirely sure if I can get Fn+F5 working)
