I lost my wifi card in my x60.
What models are ok to use by default without bios patching?

While I don't quite understand what you mean by "lost", I'd suggest Lenovo abgn (Atheros-chipped) card, FRU is usually 42T0825 or 42T0827.

Also 42T0853 (Intel 3945ABG) and 39T0499/339T5578 (ThinkPad 11a/b/g) will work.

I would check the IBM hardware maint manual or spec sheet for the X61's wireless card (which should be N vs abg). I was able to swap in a R61's wireless card into my 60 and upgrade to N and simply used the 61's factory wireless driver (intel I believe).

R61's card has 3 antennas and X60 has only two. did you just leave one of them empty?

The middle of 3 connectors is only useful if you have N or MIMO, otherwise leave it empty.
N will still work great with only 2 antenna wires.
