X61s Wifi must be disconnected and re connected at start
X61s Wifi must be disconnected and re connected at start
I recently did a factory restore on my X61s and now whenever I boot my system, the wifi will first appear to connect successfully to my network, and then will give me the following error:
"Wireless Network connection 2, this connection has limited or no connectivity, you might be able to access the internet or some network resources. For more info, click this message"
If I then proceed to right click on the network connections Icon, and "view wireless connections" and then disconnect on the desired network, and reconnect, the wifi will work correctly until I turn off the computer again.
I have updated the driver, and rolled back the driver, and uninstalled the device and just about every other thing I can think of.
The card is the original Intel 4965AGN card
Any help is very appreciated.

Re: X61s Wifi must be disconnected and re connected at start
I had that issue on a T410, and I never understood what caused it. I used an elevated command prompt that I found on Microsoft Help -- I don't remember what it changed, but it did solve the connect/disconnect/reconnect issue I had.
The command is: netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt
Here's the Microsoft Help Page: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/299357

Re: X61s Wifi must be disconnected and re connected at start
I attempted that quickly and it didn't seem to be effective. I have been too busy to spend more time on it, but in the next few days I will be able to report whether or not this worked for me. Thanks for the response regardless, I appreciate the time it took you to help me.

Re: X61s Wifi must be disconnected and re connected at start
I really hated when my T410 was doing something similar and was so happy when the fix worked. Same as you, I had to put up with the issue for weeks until I had time to google, google, and google some more for a fix. Good luck with your system and hopefully we will see a "happy dance" post from you when you have the time to work this out on your machine. At least for the time being you have a work-around

Re: X61s Wifi must be disconnected and re connected at start
Just coming back to confirm that this did not fix my problem.
I'm pretty sure I found a way to deal with this in the past on another machine (T61 4:3) but I can't remember what the solution was.
