X61s battery does not fit.

I recently bought this on ebay to replace a dead x61s type 7666 battery...

It doesn't fit though, it's way too small width-wise.
It's not a tablet X61s so i'm not sure why it doesn't fit. i have owned a X61t and the battery shape is definitely different.
which one will i have to buy to get one that fits?

Does the battery still lock in place? I owned an X61s for a short while and had a battery that was accompanied by a spacer. Perhaps you are missing the spacer?
