Interest in X61 T9900/P8800/T9600 motherboard? (North America Only)

Hi RMSMajestic, could your friend do X9100 stepping E0 X61 motherboard mod? After my T61 with X9100 died I switched to X61s and love its mobility but want slightly more power.

They have succeeded with P9700, so technically X9100 is not a problem as well. But there are two problems:
1. The E0 stepping X9100, a.k.a SLGE7, is extremely hard to find. You might need to pay ~200-250 USD for one
2. There's no point for X9100 on X61. Even a T9300/T9900 is hard enough for X61's cooling to handle. With a X9100, there will be absolutely no room for overclocking, making X9100 pointless comparing to T9900

The thing is that I have one X9100 E0 which is unused after my frankenpad died. I want to send it to your friend for a modding if he agrees. Otherwise you are right there is no point in finding X9100 E0 for X61.

Is it a SLGE7? If it's SLGE7, you can definitely put it up on feebay and walk away with 200 Euros easily. And 200 Euros is enough for a X61 mobo with T9900
Also, although P9700 has been succeeded, generally speaking such modification is not reliable. Just look at how small the gap between the metal pads on those PGA CPUs is
