Any news on this one? March comes to an end and there're no updates from our chinese folks.

Just spotted a deal on eBay where they sell a complete X61 packed with this mobo.
I hope they will eventually come up with the "mobo-only" deal here or on eBay, because 3000$ for a complete laptop is too much (at least for me).

I was trying to read the 51nb site recently and it seemed they were fixing some display issues.
So, I assume the March date is delayed.

2nd april is here and no news:(

I got a little further, and the shop did an sms validation of my danish phonenumber, but delivery adress has to be in China.

Has anybody got an idea how to order one?

I'm very much up for one.

Hm, there has to be a forwarding service that can handle the 'ships only to China' part. But does anyone read enough Chinese to make sure we place the order correctly..

There must be a service which places the order for you (us).

I'm flying out monday and don't have time to find the service. But, I'd like a board.

I could fly to China and buy 20 boards if I knew my 51nb login and could write Hope and set it up.

didn't look at this closely, but they charge 8% and seem to handle orders with china

I've used yoybuy before for an alibaba purchase that was not available on aliexpress, and it worked pretty well. I don't know how or if it would work for a purchase on a forum like 51nb.

Which is something like a chinese ebay.

That sounds like a recommendation to me! I'm going to try placing an order now.

Also I put in my 51NB forum id in note to seller. I think that is required.

I apparently tried enough times earlier that AliPay has flagged me and now won't approve any transactions at all. OTOH, I found a different service that uses DHPay instead, and placed an order. We'll see if it works!

which one did you use?
My order was declined by yoypay. They don't support the payment channel.

I'm trying 'FreeShoppingChina'. So far, my order is still 'pending'.

OTOH, I just bought a house last week. This *barely even registers* as an expense. I hope that feeling wears off soon, because it will come back to bite me (I just bought a house, don't actually have any money anymore .

I've been making my own custon X61T heatsinks, so no big deal.
And yes, I hope to have time to report back if and when it comes in. Fingers crossed!

BTW, Andrzej: My agent reported that the seller wanted cash up front, not a credit transfer, so the agent asked for the same. You might get the same surprise.
[edit: I now have confirmation from the agent my order was accepted by the seller and paid for! Let's see how this goes....]

Congrats!! I also got final confirmation 30 mins before deadline. Enough to make me nervous.

btw: I know exactly what you mean. I bought my house a year ago. I have recovered mentally but not financially

Not quite--- I think you have until tonight.

I used a Chinese buying service (FreeShoppingChina), and the only 'gotcha' was that the 51nb seller wanted cash transfers only, so the service also wanted a cash transfer, not credit. So, I had to visit a Western Union in person...

Assuming these guys are on the up-and-up, it went reasonably smoothly. My contact was fluent in English and pretty quick to respond.

apparently it's still for sale.

xiphmonts agent sounds good. I used tiptrans.com and also succeeded in the end. I paid with PayPal.

Price went up, 2900? Trying TipTrans.

It's still for sale, so no worries.

Does anyone know what is the minimum batch they can do? Now is 119 sold, and I think they are aiming for 200.
So there's a big chance it will be cancelled.
