msata installed, system booted successfully on external screen.
Need to test: internal screen, keyboard etc...

TBH I really hope HOPE make the X62 based on ivb and enable the express card slot so that it'd be possible to install i7 3632qm :/

Ivy Bridge would also allow integrated USB 3.0 without an extra chip.

Thanks for the update.

No expresscard slot? :(
Will Hope also build a sub card with audio and usb for the right side?

Unfortunately nope :/
TBH I really think that express card slot can satisfy most people's need (such as better graphics).......
And I'm not in favor of using the 4th Gen i7 on this mobo.... some of us certainly want better CPU, such as i7 3632qm... And hotwell CPUs isn't that much better than ivbs, especially for high load tasks

So will these boards be sold internationally or only in China?

Interesting.
One good place for Broadwell - X62. But the price for CPU only ;(
Onther good hint. Hope use SXGA+ LCD. It is good to know that BIOS can handle SXGA+ out from the box. But other question - is modded video cable still needed or LVDS wire reconnection can be done on motherboard side???

That would be a huge plus if cable modding was no longer needed. No way I would even consider this without an SXGA+ display and the mod for it seems like quite a bit of work.

I guess it's gonna be the same as T50 mobo....
Since I'm severely limited in RMB (chinese yuan),
Don't put too much hope that it will make it's way outside China.
Still have a few people asking me to bring T50 mobos

Oh, I'm not holding my breath. I suspect by the time this is available (if it becomes available) it's going to be obsolete for me. Might still get one just for collection.

With the i7 5600u this is getting very interesting indeed. What is the maximum ram that the used MB will accept?
Not getting overly excited, but this means some things could be done to keep some items alive, and competitive in significant areas of use.

- It is early days yet and I suppose it would be up to Hope but would it be possible to take a holiday to Shenzhen and take your latop to 51nb to be retrofitted. I wonder if they could do the over the counter service?
I would take a couple of laptops as it stands.

Nice, @273341 if you have some RMB, it'll be great!! As a student I don't have that much spare RMB. I reckon that X62 planar will possibly not be shipped outside China as well. But you may use my 51nb ID to pursuade aq5200 to post boards abroad.

Also, New updates!!

Almost every hotkey shortcuts have been sorted out. Just Fn+F3 still under debugging
And various small bugs also being fixed. HOPE stated that it will be finished in half-a-month's time, I guess that mean... maybe 2 months?

I've been following these X62 posts with interest, and I would consider going in on a group purchase/shipping deal if these boards turn out to be real.

I've been using an X61T (tablet) as my main mobile machine, but I'd consider switching to a regular X61. (I gather that there is no hope/plan for modded custom boards to be built for the X61 Tablet).

Phil.

Anyone here from Europe?

Are there any downsides or missing features - except for the modem?

Well, it's almost finished so far, given the history of procrastination, this is very fast.
It's all about whether or not they can accept USD/EUR/GBP/bitcoin payment. Otherwise it's too complicated and costly.

I am also interested in a motherboard. Put me down for two (I have a buddy who would want this too).
