Hello, i bought my thinkpad X60 new, not genuine battery from ebay. When i put in the laptop it showed "charging". I let it to charge for 10 hours and then tried to start the laptop only on battery power, but it didn't turn on. When i attached the power supply and turned it on it showed 90% charged. I have older battery, it charges with no problem and i can use the laptop on battery power for 15 minutes. The laptop is X60 1707, running Ubuntu. Is there something that i have to do to battery cicuit board or this is what you get for 16GBP :)

Welcome to the forum.
A lot of batteries that are not "genuine Lenovo" cause problems, or don't work at all.
They are usually cheap Chinese knock-offs, that do not have the proper charging circuitry.
If they don't work, there's nothing much you can do.
But try this:
remove both AC and battery.
Then hold down the power button for 20 seconds.
Put just the battery in, and see if it starts now.
If not, bad battery.

Thanks for the reply, i've tried the power button trick, but it didn't work for me. I will try to find genuine battery.
