Hi All.

Trying to correct an 1802 error on a 6363-HAU X60T. Thought I had that particular file in an archive somewhere from long ago, but it's nowhere to be found. The IBM BIOS Version is 1.15 (7juj13us.exe). I have the Zender file for CRTL/FNCTN swap, but I don't believe that file will rid me of the 1802 error.

All the d/l links are dead.

Anyone have a good link, or the file itself?

I CHECK MY PM's RELIGIOUSLY

Thanks. Regards. Dave

WileE, you're a lifesaver.

Installed the update, and my 4965AGN is happily recognized and running considerably faster than the "G" card it replaced.

Many Thanks!

Regards. Dave

P.S. For those that wonder, the Func/F5 combo, Access Connections and the Wi-Fi LED all work under the modified BIOS.... I've read reports where some/all of these were disabled after the update, but this machine works. O/S is Win XP Tablet with all the MS and Lenovo updates/programs installed.

If it's appropriate for me to bump this thread...

Could I request that someone kindly PM me the link to the same X60T bios, and if inclined, perhaps some instructions so not to fudge the process!

I need to get this working with a yet unpurchased 6205N.

Thank you in advance.

RealBlackStuff, I must not have got to your pm in time as it self-destructed. Would you be able to resend? Thanks in advance.

Thanks RBS - yes sorry for that one... I was in awaiting a WLAN card when I initially posted, however the buyer refused to it sell me in the end, so the project got shelved/forgotten while I waited for another to arrive in the post...

Is there a well written guide how to do the mod from scratch, for a first timer?

There's an .ISO file inside the download.
Burn a CD, using e.g. ImgBurn, put the CD in an external USB CD/DVD-drive, plug that in a USB-port.
Boot your laptop, and immediately press F12 to select the CD-drive, then press Enter.
You'll also need a charged battery and the AC-adapter for the update to run.
That's all.

Alright half way there (correct IBM bios installed already).

Is it safe to use the bootable USB stick method to flash to Zender? I am without a USB CD/FDD and impatient..

Using a couple of web pages, I managed to create a bootable USB using "HP USB Format Tool", and I unzipped/extract the .iso to the usb drive (what appear to be the important files - $01AD000.fl1, $01AD000.FL2 and PHLASH16.EXE are there)...

However I am unclear of the correct syntax. Referring to the X60T, the link below, posts #5 and #12 indicate the method 'phlash16.exe / S / C / X / mode = 3 BIOS.FL1', however I don't see any reference to the .FL2 file anywhere.

.FL1 is for the BIOS, .FL2 is for the Embedded Controller (ECP).
You run either with FL1 first and then again with FL2, or just FL1 if ECP is already up-to-date.
For FL2 you'd need to change the phlash16 parameters.

There should be no problem with a USB stick.

Thank you!, that got me some of the way and I figured out the rest from the guide below (Link below for anyone interested: I followed the guide under DOS command line with phlash16).

The 6200N is all up and running :thumbs-UP:

Palmrest is still very warm though...The CPU is idling at 70C, so I will reapply thermal paste and see if that helps. If not maybe a X61T vented palmrest is in order.
