3g/4g lte support is a waste of time. The market is moving to smartphone wifi hotspot.

Having an empty slot that can be used for msata like devices is a good thing though.

Hey thank you for the pics! This newborn X62 looks great.

Just one question. Why did you choose to use the Realtek LAN chipset over Intel?
Is it possible to replace it manually?

We're all waiting for the "BUY IT NOW" button :)

The market has never been tested.

I would nothing better than an integrated, unlocked, carrier-agnostic 3G/4G/LTE radio as an option, so long as it has a physical [mechanical] "off" switch.

I don't think it's possible to do so, unless the Realtek chip is electrically and physically compatible with the Intel chip, which I doubt is the case.
